every once in a while i go back into my archives of shoots. sometimes to just revisit the moments of a good shoot, other times to look for something new in the old. something that might seem fresh again with new eyes. so, as i was working on collecting some photos for a new project, i came across this photo of Brooke that i’d wanted to work on when i first shot it back in February 2010. once i booted it up into photoshop and started to work on it, it became clear that i had something strong and possibly moving. Brooke somehow manages to bring together strength and serenity and make it look so completely effortless that it almost defies explanation.
