recently shot with Katlyn Lacoste, i had the idea to paint her with white body paint. we spent a while applying the paint from head-to-toe and experimented with a bunch of different lighting techniques. i think this might have been my favorite. its just a large sofbox almost perpendicular to the wall she was leaning against. model is also quite close to the softbox. i continue to find that the simplest light tends to give the best results.
body paint, if you’re curious, is Ben Ney’s Magicake Aqua Paint. its wonderful to work with and really natural and safe.
