Only Skinny Chicks Get the Blues

i was asked recently if i only ever work with thin women.  this seems to be a topic that comes up from time to time, not only for me but other photographer friends of mine.  the answer is, of course, no.  but the majority of the women i work with are very fit and trim.  i think this has more to do with the fact that the majority of the models i work with tend to have rather delicate figures.  but i recently had a chance to work with a woman who was more well-rounded, shall we say.  and she breathtakingly beautiful.  ultimately, for me it matters not what your body shape is, but rather the way you communicate with the camera and the connection you project to the viewer.

what are your thoughts, my dear blog readers?  leave a comment and tell me if you have any kind of body shape preference?  does it matter if the model is thinner or rounder?  what really gives the photograph artistic merit?  share your thoughts in the comments.

  1. Im aka contactimages on model mayhem…

This lady is drop-dead gorgeous and her curves are sensuous in a way that skinny girls can only envy. Outstanding work as usual.
