although a lot of my work tends to have a very familiar look and feel to it, its always fun to experiment with new tools and see if it leads you in any kind of new direction. so, i downloaded the demo for Silver Efex 2, a Photoshop plug-in for doing black and white conversions. the controls it affords are really wonderful for someone who often thinks in monotones. new looks, new ways to tickle the inside of my brain. after less than a day, i think i like it lots and i’ll add it to my toolbox.
