Benefit for Dan

Nori - Kneeling

I recently found out that my friend Dan was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.  Dan is the husband of Nori. And Nori is the first nude model that I ever shot and now a good, close friend.  Dan is in a desperate fight to beat this disease and with no health care, this is more than an uphill battle for Dan and Nori.  So, a few of us photographer types have decided to put together a benefit art sale to try to help them out.

Below are details about the artwork that will be for sale in Olaf’s studio at the beginning of this month.  The collection will then move to the Connexions Gallery in Easton, PA where it will be on display and for sale for a few weeks.  So, if you can help out, stop by and purchase some beautiful artwork for your collection!  I will also be announcing some on-line print sales in upcoming posts.  Everything I’m doing, from making prints, to the mounting and matting is being donated.  All the money from your purchase price will go directly to help Dan.

Olaf Starorypinski and Scott Nichol have put together a sale of photography to benefit our friend Dan and his battle with cancer. The sale will begin on First Friday, March 2nd at Olaf’s studio at the Banana Factory in Bethlehem. The Collection will then move to Connexion Gallery in Easton with an artists’ reception March 17.

Artists contributing to this benefit include local photographers as well as some of the most talented figure photographers from across the US and Canada. Local artists include Olaf Starorypinski, Scott Nichol, Lorna Doone, Diane Richter, Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell. Other artist include Marcus Ranum, Bill Earle, Candace Nirvana, Ted Preuss, Dave Aharonian, Eric Scott Anderson.

Prints are priced generally around $100. The collection also includes some original hand made platinum prints priced accordingly. A truly unique opportunity to obtain one of a kind traditional photographic prints.
